I have been "couponing" for some time now. But now I am a graduate of the Southern Savers official class, so I've upped the ante. I got everything in this picture for less than $14. That is 2 boxes of Rice Krispies, 1 gallon of milk, 4 Green Giant frozen veggies, 1 Sunday Newspaper, 1 bottle of Lysol Toilet Cleaner, 2 bottles of Lysol Multi-purpose cleaner with bleach, 1 bottle of Lysol Bathroom Cleaner with bleach, 1 bag marshmallows, 1 pack Publix wieners (for Fluffy, because they are gross, but they cost just 1 penny ), 3 packs Oscar Mayer wieners, 2 bottles Dove Ultimate deodorant, 3 cans of Betty Crocker icing, 2 (half gallons?) of Mayfield Black Walnut ice cream. Now, for you people who might be reading that aren't familiar with how much groceries cost....the deodorant was $4.49 each so think of it like buying 2 deodorants and a gallon of milk and getting everything else FREE! After this trip, I got in my car and giggled all the way home. JACKPOT! (If you want details, I saved $54 on this shopping trip.)
I am going to teach a coupon class to show my friends and family how to do this. If you are interested, contact me via phone, email, or facebook, or leave a comment here. When I get the class scheduled I will let you know. It will be free, and for friends, family, and coworkers only (not the general public).
Thank you to Jenny at Southern Savers for inspiration to pass the info along.

A few weeks back Dan's family came from Colorado to visit with us. We had a marvelous time having them over. Now let's talk about the food. We cooked, yes we includes both Dan and myself. And it was DELICIOUS. No housefires, no fire extinguishers, no smoke alarms... We had perfectly smoked filet mignon with a sweet rasberry salad, corn on the cob, and Cajun rice pilaf. For once, I was proud of my cooking! It was good to see you Uncle Jerry and Aunt Sheila. Thanks for the goodies and come back as soon as you can! Sunday, November 01, 2009
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Although technically this was Daniley's second Halloween, it was more like her first. Last year she was only 8 weeks old so she didn't too much get into it. But this year, completely different story. This kid ran around WIRED all night long. I kept thinking, any minute she's going to crash....she just kept going and going and going (running around until 10pm)!We went to Honey and G-Paws and took James Dexter for a ride in Daniley's wagon, went trick-or-treating in Mom's neighborhood, and also attended Mom's annual Halloween Party (for kids). It was soooo much fun. Dan and Daniley are the world to me and I love when we can goof off together!
At first Daniley was a little nervous about trick-or-treating. She would get on the sidewalk and then not proceed to the door. But when she realized they were giving her candy, it didn't take long for her to start knocking herself. She even sneaked some of the candy out her bag when I wasn't looking and ate it through the wrapper. I guess if she poops KitKat wrappers, I'll know why.
