My mom and stepdad took these and other great photos on the blog. Their website is www.photoshootusa.com. My father-in-law and mother-in-law took many of the other great photos, but they don't have a website. Both are available for hire. Other great pictures were taken by my wonderful husband. Any bad pictures, sadly, were probably taken by me. :-(

Daniley had a school party for Valentine's Day and this is the only picture of us we got. When I walked in Daniley got real excited and starting grinning like a billy goat in a briar patch. I can tell she is happy at school and I'm happy with her there. She doesn't have to go 5 days a week....usually more like 3. That makes me feel a little better about it, just that she isn't going to the same place every single day. I like variety.

This was Daniley's first trip down the slide and I know she liked it...she just wants to do it by herself. PLEASE CHILD....you're barely sitting up! ;-) By the way, Daniley's sitting up. She stayed up the whole time I vacuumed the upstairs Saturday night...and, on top of that, she didn't even cry at the vacuum!!!!!
We had our first trip to the park and Daniley had a very good time. Actually, we all had a very good time. Daniley liked the swing, but not as much as I thought she would. I though surely as much as she loves being tossed around that the swing would make her giggle. Lots of smiles...but not giggles. She's so much fun. I treasure every moment with her! I know it's going to fly by and it makes me very sad but I know we have a lot lot lot of good times to come.

I'm sorry for the blurry photos. I took about 20 all on the wrong setting. On that little screen they looked just beautiful!
Anyway....there's just enough focus to see just how cute she is. I could barely resist her this morning. It was her first full day in jeans. Little sass-o-frass. I love her to death!!!!!!!

Daniley can almost sit up! Last night I put her in the laundry basket while I was folding clothes and she stayed up several minutes before tipping over. This picture was taken 1/18/09 and you can see I have to use me feet to brace her but she's got it down pretty well! She is so cute...when I see pictures like these I miss her so bad! (I'm at work! [on my lunch break!]) :-)

I wish I was more like Mrs. Hughes and could update this blog every day or two. And just think...she has TWO babies...and she's pregnant. More power to ya girl!
Anyway, I don't write very much because I figure everyone wants to see and not necessarily read...but here is the update:
Foods:
We are eating solid food, trying one new kind each week. So far, we LOVE rice and tolerate English peas. And solids in means solids out. That's not fun, at least for Mommy. Daniley has always had rosey poop since she has been on breastmilk. I guess those days are gone. :-(
Tricks:
Daniley rolls over or course, can sit up for a while before tipping over, laugh of course, and babble (sounds like Dad). She jumps like CRAZY in her jumperoo. I think if she could jump to the ceiling, she would. The more excited she gets, the more she jumps. Her latest discovery is her toes. She likes them a lot. She wakes up in the middle of the night to check on them and make sure they are all still there. (And they usually are.) She isn't crawling yet but she can get into position and lift her front body up. She just doesn't "go" yet, but I'm sure it won't be long.
Sleeps:
We still aren't sleeping through the night yet. The solids have definetely helped us have less feedings. We just get up at about 3am instead of 1am. She probably would make it through the night if I ignored her grunts. But I like feeding her at night and I certainly don't want to hear scream, so I just keep feeding her. Plus, I feel like that helps keep my "supply" going. We snuggle at night and I love it. She also loves it.
Looks:
Daniley's hair is slowly turning blond. (I was shocked to have a dark headed baby...I had never considered that possibility.) She still has the most precious little fat rolls. She has no teeth but is drooling everywhere so I think they may be on their way. Dan and I still can't tell that she looks like either of us, so you'll have to check back later to get that answer.
Likes:
She only likes me.
Not Dan.
(hahahahahahhaha, got you that time sucker!!)
