Easter was wonderful.  First we attended church together as a family (well most always we do that) but today was the first Easter as a family of four!  I made the girls' Easter dresses which made them extra special to me.  After church we dropped by Honey and GPaw's so they could see the girls in their Easter dresses.  We did a quick egg hunt and then headed to Shelby where my Dad hosted the family for lunch.  There we did another egg hunt.  It was a beautiful day.  Thank you God for sending Jesus and all the other blessings in my life!

Sorry I'm just getting around to Easter. When the blog is slow, it's because we're running nonstop. The day before Easter we did Alabaster's Egg Drop. It was crowded, but fun.

Danslen was trying to have her hair like this little guy.
It's called an "egg drop" because this helicopter dropped them onto the field.

Crystal and I sewed Friday and she made Daniley this cute little apron dress.  LOVE IT!  I think I might sew some more aprons for it.  Sort of like a bib, just get dirty, and change the top layer.  :-)

PS.  I'M WALKING EVERYBODY!!!

Okay, I realize I still haven't posted our Easter pictures and story, but I will.  They are on Dan's camera card which I haven't put on here yet.  I'll get around to it soon.

In the meantime, this weekend was wild.  Saturday was crazy.  We did yard sales, then family at Honey and GPaws (Uncle Jerry and Aunt Shelia from Colorado, and Uncle Tom and Aunt Diane from Indiana.)  Uncle Jerry loves margaritas and since I have a new machine, I invited him over for a drink in the bar.  And since I have a new machine, I made Daniley a virgin daquiri, but I don't use the word virgin, because I don't want her screaming that out when we go to the mall.  I could only imagine how she might put a sentence together.  :-O

Afterwards, Dan and I had to split up because each of our friends was having parties.  He and Daniley went to Tegan and Tatum's, and Danslen and I went to my friend Rachel's grill out.  I don't think we have any pictures from the Turners :-( but I snapped only a few from Seth's house, the host of the grill out.  Dan and Daniley eventually met up with us there, and we all had a great time.  I think I'm gonna need a carrying bag for this margarita machine (yes, they make one) because I've been burning the motor up.  LOL.  I took it to the grill out so Rach could enjoy a margarita.  We were celebrating her completion of the PE exam.  Believe me, she deserved about 10 margaritas.  I know because I have been where she is.  Anyway, our kids played and we cracked up at them.  Poor Seth got trapped by Daniley and they played.  Here she is playing his piano and I have to say she looks very professional.

I'm gonna tell you what...I have some great friends in my life!
After these parties we had tickets to the Baron's baseball game.  Let's see, that's 2 kids up since 5am with less than an hour nap each.  Baseball games starts at 6:30 and then fireworks afterward.  Ummm, ditch that!!  Oh well, maybe I'll have more guts next time.  I'm not sure Danslen would have been happy at the baseball game anyway.  :-)
We died Easter eggs with Honey and GPaw!  Daniley had a great time and the eggs were beautiful.  Honey was just in time to give us some Princess wraps for our eggs.  Why is it that girls love princesses?  I never liked princesses and never wanted to be one.  Of course that COULD be because we didn't own a VCR until I was 12.  Sheltered or Poor.  Your call.
(Wow I got way off track.)  LOL.

THIS KID LOVES ANIMALS!
She's just intimidating him a little while he eats. Just making him slightly uncomfortable. Because he knows that just when he gets into his ham, she's going to SCOOP HIM UP and carry him off by the legs.

Furthermore, her latest hobby is caterpillar hunting.  I have no idea how you find that many caterpillars.  Where she has them by her face is her "loving" her caterpillars.  She always returns them to the grass after she gets done playing.  :-)

Wednesday afternoon Daniley's school had their Easter party and since it was on Wednesday, my Mom was off and she and Lil' Darlin' accompanied us.  I LOVE BEKare and the party was so much fun.  I love Daniley's teachers.  They are always so organized and patient with the kids, and Ms. Chandra always likes to tell me the funny things Daniley says.  :-)

I uploaded on YouTube.  The blog doesn't like long videos.

You should definitely turn your speakers up before clicking the links.
Don't worry, they got their Momma's rhythm.  :-)

"Boogie" Shoes

There's a lot going on in the video.  About the third time I watched, I finally noticed Danson pulling his shirt up...and just how many times DID Lil' Darlin' fall off that couch?  :-)
Jump Jump

On the surface it looks like Danslen is being naughty but study closer and you'll see she actually tried to put the passy in Bentley's mouth.  Believe me when I saw her grab it that is *not* what I expected.  When she dropped it she did even look down for it.  But she didn't see it.
"Oh well Bentley.  Too bad for you." (from Danslen)
This has been one of those weekends where I laid awake Sunday night going through all the fun memories we made.  Saturday night I had a Ladies Only party, a pinterest party in fact, where we had margaritas and I demonstrated my Silhouette.  We had such a blast!  Also I demonstrated my new margarita machine that I bought at a time when I did *not* need to be spending money.  :-|  Oh well, I'm sorry Habenero's I won't be "needing" you anymore...at least not just to quench my thirst.  Haha.

Also Daniley and Danslen got to spend time with ALL their cousins this weekend.  Here are the "4 Monkeys."
Then Sunday night the sweet Bentley visited with us and we had a grill out and dance party.  I have only video.  Why wasn't I thinking to grab my camera?  Maybe because I was too busy dancing on one leg!  :-)  I'll try to post videos, but that's very time consuming....so check back, but give me a couple days!
On top of all this fun, I had lots of good quality time with my babies this weekend.  And because I was having a party, the house was completely clean, top to bottom, which helps me relax...until things get out of place again.  That's why I don't try to always keep a clean house, because when it starts to get messy again it bothers me.  Might as well just keep it messy all the time, then you don't have to worry!  :-)  Love to everyone!!  Thanks for stopping by.

The other morning Dan was out of town.  I was getting the girls up by myself and getting ready.  I just got off crutches so I walk really slow.  I was making great time.  Daniley got up with a smile on her face.  I left her upstairs to use the bathroom. Then suddenly:  trouble.  Daniley is upstairs crying, screaming.  I can tell something is bad wrong.  I ask her 2 or 3 times what the problem was but she was crying so much that I couldn't understand.  Finally I went upstairs, and she was standing at the top.  Here's the situation:  "My washing machine doesn't have any buttons on it!!!"  (Pottery Barn play front loader system--KNOBS ONLY.  How dare they not put buttons?)  She cracks me up sometimes.  LOL.

I got up here by myself and I am NOT scared!!!  And I don't need any help.  And I don't want to get down!

LADIES' NIGHT OUT
GIRLS GONE WILD!
Don't worry, we hired a designated driver and bodyguard (not shown).
Our first slurps together!
Chillin' out!
PASSED OUT!
Saturday Sarah Katherine, Daniley, Danslen, their mommies, and my great helper Hannah went over to Marissa's house to play. WHAT FUN! This was a lunch time playdate so I packed snacks. Then Marissa's mom, Jennifer, surprised me by cooking lunch! The girls were so cute playing together. Jennifer also has a little boy and thankfully he slept through the playdate. I'm not sure if he could handle that many ladies. ;-) Thank you to Erin for coordinating, Jennifer for hosting, and I don't know what I'm to be thanked for. I'm pretty much worthless these days. ;-)
Friday night my little (not-so-little-anymore) friend Hannah spent the night with us. Daniley LOVED her. She was also a big help to me. She carried the baby around for me a lot. I definitely couldn't have done the play date without her! Love you Biscuit!! We had a great time and hope you come back and stay with us again soon.

It's been a weekend of parties and Sunday was my nephew Eli's. He is turning two today! Happy birthday sweet boy!!
(Picture creds to GPaw on this one.)
John Thomas always has really awesome birthday parties (I'm sorry Lynn, you have really made a name for yourself and have a lot to live up to, HA!!). Saturday was his 4th birthday and he had his party at his late Pawpaw's barn. We had a really great time. Sorry I was so slow getting around...will party harder next year. :-)
Did you know people can eat far more than what your Momma told you? Danslen is our little garbage disposal. She will eat anything. There is no telling what she has eaten that I don't even know (or want to know) about. Some of it I'm too scared to write on the blog. But here is one of her latest adventures. This is not the first time this has happened. We took all the chalk away from the chalkboard downstairs but when we were upstairs I forgot about this problem. Keep in mind these pictures were taken after about 2 minutes of really getting the chalk away from her. (The big piece was just a snack, it was a little piece that she had for a meal.) When I found her, her mouth was seriously like a bowl of Plaster of Paris. YAK!

Daniley is funny in things she says. We're always cracking up about something. Sometimes things she says I believe, and sometimes not. It's hard to know or tell when she is telling the truth. We've really been working hard on not lying lately. I didn't say we were in compliance, I just said we've been working on it. She sees the time out chair frequently.
Last night I noticed some scrathy streaks across her chest. I inquired, "What happened to your chest? It's all scratched. Did you fall down?" She said, "Paisley, my mean cat, did that to me. She scratched me. She is not nice." I pulled her over closely. I began to feel the marks....it was unusual. I inspected her closer. Then I said, "OH REALLLLLY????" Then I said, "Have you been in Mom's lipstick?" "Nope." "I'm gonna give you one chance to tell Mommy the truth. Don't tell Mommy any stories." Finally, she confessed, "It was only just a little bit of lipstick Mom." How she got it to streak out like that (very thin lines, I swear it looked just like scratches) I have no idea.
Okay, here's another one. We let her watch movies upstairs in the bar/playroom by herself. There is a candy machine in there. It stays locked and the keys stay up on a high glass shelf. Dan walked in to check on her one morning and she had her kid grand piano over there at the candy machine standing on top of it. That means she had pulled it from one end of the room to the other. Dan said, "What are you doing?" "Oh hey Dad, I was just trying to see all the different colors of the MMs." (She was going for the keys.) He asked her again. Same answer. So he gave her the line, "I'm going to give you one final chance to tell Dad the truth. Tell me what you were doing." Get her final answer: "I was just looking for a new experience, that's all!!" Sometimes it's hard to stay serious!! :-)

Well I don't have any exciting pictures....unless you want to see my knee split open and me drugged up in the hospital. I'll spare you. I am about a week and a half post-surgery. Physical therapy is doing me loads of good. I really wish I could just bend my leg and run like I used to but I know that will take time. My tibia was also fractured so I will be on crutches for at least 2 more weeks. It is difficult dealing with Lil' Darlin', because I can't pick her up and carry her. I have to rely on Dan a lot. I still do "half" the work, it's just a different half. For example, I can fix the dinner and fix the plates, but Dan has to carry the plates to the table for me. Because my hands are on the crutches, I can't carry anything. It's a drag. With that said, I've been shopping a few times to places that have those electric shopping buggies, and I am SO thankful for them because without them I couldn't buy anything if I couldn't sling it over my shoulder. Saturday evening Daniley and I went to Joann Fabrics and we got a scooter and shopped for THREE HOURS. (I'm still not over the fact that Daniley was content for that long!) Speaking of Daniley, she has been helping me out a LOT. If Lil' Darlin' is getting into trouble Daniley can move her into another room for me. Daniley also packed the car for me this morning including a car seat, laptop bag, work bag, diaper bag...everything but the baby. Getting up and getting both girls ready and into the car by myself is a huge challenge, especially when I am doing it by myself. That, however, is rare thanks to the wonderful family support that I have. My husband, grandmother, Dan's parents, and my mom have been a Godsend! I have come across a couple of awesome things through this: sitting in a chair in the shower is like heaven on earth! That hot water coming down over me for sure is sending up the gas bill, because I sit in there extra long. It's like a spa! Ooooh, I want to go in there right now. Also, I've had some quiet time and time to sew, and I've came up with some cute stuff. I was glad to go back to work today. I love working. I love my job, which is why I love working!! Hopefully this coming weekend we'll have more pictures to share. Thanks for stopping by.

So the Dr. said I tore my ACL, had a bone bruise, and fractured one of my bones. I was getting a lot of information at the moment so I can't be more specific. I just couldn't absorb it all. Thursday I went in for surgery and now it's Saturday night and I'm laid up on the couch. Dan is taking pretty good care of me. The family is helping out with the girls but they'll be back tomorrow. I pray Daniley doesn't get wild around my leg. One jump and life could be over. I'm in a decent amount of pain, but it's manageable. I'm nervous about upcoming therapy and also, at some point, Dan's gonna have to go back to work and I'm gonna be all alone. I can't wait to be back to my old self again. Each day I should feel a little bit better. Please pray for a speedy recovery!
